Groundwater Geoscience Expert Needed

Step into a pivotal role as a Quaternary Geologist with the Alberta Geological Survey in Calgary or Edmonton. This full-time, limited position focuses on producing stratigraphic models to support groundwater evaluations. By joining the AGS Groundwater Geoscience Team, you will contribute to sustainable water resource management in Southern Alberta through geoscientific analysis.

Your expertise will help in mapping Quaternary sediments and informing multidisciplinary teams about groundwater quality and availability. Make a meaningful impact on regulatory decisions regarding groundwater access. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze geological processes for groundwater evaluation.
• Develop 3D geoscience models using geological software.
• Map subsurface stratigraphic units and bedrock unconformities.
• Generate geological reports to maintain AGS credibility.
• Assist in fieldwork for accurate data collection. Requirements:
• Advanced degree in Geology or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of related geoscience experience.
• Experience with geological modeling and data interpretation.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS and Leapfrog software.
