In-House Legal Counsel in Healthcare

Join Assisted Living Alberta as an In-House Legal Counsel to enhance care quality through your legal expertise. You'll offer insightful advice on corporate, commercial, and health law matters. This position supports the General Counsel by tackling complex legal files and translating regulations into actionable guidance for operational teams.

You will manage governance practices for the ALA Board, improving transparency and decision-making. Your experience in corporate governance and commercial agreements will contribute significantly to our mission of elevating care standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide solutions-focused legal advice on corporate matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts effectively
• Advise on compliance with health-related legislation
• Support governance and board activities for the ALA
• Communicate legal rights, obligations, and risks clearly Requirements:
• Proven experience in corporate governance support
• Familiarity with complex corporate agreements
• Background in the healthcare sector preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
