Admin Support - Alberta Ocular Oncology Program
Alberta Ocular OncologyThis position is one of a group of staff that provide comprehensive support to the Edmonton Ocular Oncology team. The incumbent will work collaboratively with a team of ophthalmologists, fellows, residents, ophthalmic personnel, nurses, other administrative support and community offices to ensure that patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner. Duties include but will not be limited to: answering patient calls, verifying patient information in the electronic medical record, processing referrals, support complex scheduling of procedures, diagnostic testing and clinic appointments and ensuring patient charts are complete. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of grade 12 diploma or recognized equivalent required.
- A post-secondary certificate in Medical Office Administration or equivalent required.
- Completion of Medical Terminology course is required
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required.
- Experience with ConnectCare and NetCare is preferred.
- Previous ophthalmology experience is preferred.
- Adaptable and team-oriented with a strong customer service focus.
- Ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic environment, including working under pressure, and responding to change.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to providing Patient and Family Centered Care is essential for this position. The incumbent requires a calm and patient demeaner.
Pay: $23.53-$28.60 per hour
