Special Counsel for Administrative Hearing Support

As a Special Counsel, you'll play a key role in advising and supporting Vice-Chairs during administrative hearings and policy discussions.
Key tasks will include conducting legal research, advising on procedural matters, and preparing formal decisions. Your legal insights will be pivotal in fostering a fair capital market in Alberta. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice during administrative hearings
- Draft and fact-check panel decisions and reasons
- Conduct legal research to support Vice-Chairs
- Assist in formulating amendments to securities laws
- Stay updated on administrative and securities law Requirements:
- Law degree with standing in Alberta's Law Society
- 5+ years of experience in relevant legal fields
- Strong detail orientation and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and writing proficiency
- Knowledge of tribunal processes and litigation experience Utilize your legal expertise to influence significant regulatory decisions and enhance policy formulation at the ASC.
