About the role

Join the Control Systems team at Canadian Natural Resources Limited for an 8-month internship. This role focuses on the reliability and availability of DCS and control system assets. You will apply your academic background to operational projects while working with a team of professionals.

What you'll do

• Design and implement forecasting models to predict trends and identify anomalies.
• Manage data processing workflows using orchestration tools.
• Develop interactive dashboards to share insights with stakeholders.
• Perform data cleaning and preprocessing to ensure high-quality datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources and support operational improvements.

What you'll need

• Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
• Completed formal training in data science.
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Location & details

• Location: Calgary, Alberta (Head Office).
• Term: 8 months, starting May 2027.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
• Work modality: On-site.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.
