About the Connect to Wellness Program

Connect to Wellness is ESAF Global Canada's mental health initiative, providing accessible, compassionate counselling support to individuals and communities who may otherwise face barriers to mental health care. The program reflects ESAF's holistic approach to well-being — recognizing that mental health is foundational to healthier lives and stronger communities.

Position Overview

ESAF Global Canada invites students to join our Connect to Wellness program in a fully virtual capacity, providing counselling services to a general, mixed caseload under the direct supervision of a Registered Clinical Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • The practicum student will support the Connect to Wellness program by providing virtual counselling services to clients from a general caseload under the supervision of a Registered Clinical Supervisor.
  • Responsibilities include conducting intake assessments and counselling sessions, maintaining accurate and confidential client documentation, participating in individual and group supervision sessions, attending team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities related to the program, and carrying out other counselling-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a relevant program in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a related field at a local educational institution.
  • Applicants should have reliable access to a private and confidential workspace with a stable internet connection to support virtual service delivery.
  • A demonstrated commitment to cultural humility, equity, and serving diverse populations is also required.
