  • Administrative Support 3 - $1,742.83 to $2,205.23 bi-weekly ($24.04 - $30.42/hour or $45,487.86 - $57,556.50/year)

Reporting to the Visitor Services Supervisor, the Visitor Services Specialist plays a key role in delivering exceptional service to visitors, event organizers, and stakeholders at Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park. As part of a dynamic team, you will be the first point of contact for guests—providing information, processing pass and ticket sales, and coordinating bookings for biathlon facilities and group use. You’ll also support a range of administrative and office functions that keep centre operations running smoothly. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to stay organized, multitask, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative team player with attention to detail;

experience with point-of-sale systems and office software is an asset.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Provide front-line visitor services and administrative support for Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park and the Kananaskis area. This includes delivering information in person, by phone, and online; updating trail conditions, weather, and event information; and supporting public safety communications.
  • Process day tickets, season passes, and Kananaskis Conservation Passes using POS systems, while ensuring accurate cash handling and transaction reconciliation.
  • Support facility and group bookings, including scheduling, client communication, invoicing, and maintaining booking systems. Assist with biathlon administration and ensure client needs and park guidelines are met.
  • Contribute to marketing and communications by supporting social media, updating digital displays and external platforms, and helping develop promotional materials.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of one year of related experience.
  • Equivalencies will be considered with one year of related education for one year of experience.

Assets

  • Interest in outdoor activities and recreation environments.
  • Familiarity with trail conditions and outdoor safety practices (ex. wildlife awareness, local regulations, emergency preparedness, first aid).
  • Broad knowledge of the Kananaskis region, including backcountry terrain and trail networks.
  • Previous experience in customer service or in a front-line public facing role.
