Director, Trade and Market Access

Lead Alberta's trade initiatives in the Indo-Pacific region as the Director, Trade Indo-Pacific. Leverage your expertise in international trade, market strategy, and stakeholder engagement to drive economic growth. As part of the Ministry of Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration, this full-time Director position based in Edmonton requires a strategic leader with experience in international business and export development.
Collaborate with government officials and key stakeholders to enhance Alberta’s global trade impact while guiding the Indo-Pacific team towards greater export readiness. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead international trade missions and senior official support
- Develop comprehensive ministerial briefing packages
- Create regional trade strategies for market diversification
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships in trade
- Oversee staff and daily branch operations Requirements:
- Seven years of relevant experience in international trade
- University degree in Business or related field
- Experience with project management and diplomacy skills
- Strong understanding of Alberta trade policies
- Ability to travel internationally for missions Drive Alberta's trade success through strategic planning, policy development, and mentorship.
