As part of the Ministry of Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration, this full-time Director position based in Edmonton requires a strategic leader with experience in international business and export development.

Collaborate with government officials and key stakeholders to enhance Alberta’s global trade impact while guiding the Indo-Pacific team towards greater export readiness. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead international trade missions and senior official support
  • Develop comprehensive ministerial briefing packages
  • Create regional trade strategies for market diversification
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships in trade
  • Oversee staff and daily branch operations Requirements:
  • Seven years of relevant experience in international trade
  • University degree in Business or related field
  • Experience with project management and diplomacy skills
  • Strong understanding of Alberta trade policies
  • Ability to travel internationally for missions Drive Alberta's trade success through strategic planning, policy development, and mentorship.
