Lands Program Specialist in Edmonton

Become a vital part of Alberta's natural resource management as a Lands Program Specialist in Edmonton. This full-time role involves leading conservation funding initiatives and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness. As a Lands Program Specialist with Alberta Environment and Protected Areas, you will oversee privately administered land conservation programs in a permanent position.
Your key responsibilities will include managing grant applications, coordinating review committees, and developing reports that support decision-making. Effective relationships with stakeholders such as municipalities and landowners are vital to achieving successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of private land conservation programs
- Manage intake processes, approvals, and reporting requirements
- Support grant review committees with recommendations
- Monitor program outcomes, risks, and budgets
- Develop briefings and presentations for internal and external audiences Requirements:
- Degree in Natural Resource Management or related field
- Four years of experience in program delivery or policy development
- Class 5 driver’s license is mandatory
- Familiarity with grant funding programs is an asset
- Understanding of environmental legislation and policies Contribute to Alberta's sustainable land stewardship as a Lands Program Specialist through effective program management and strong stakeholder collaboration.
