Senior Health Policy Advisor Alberta

Contribute to intergovernmental health policy development in Alberta as a Senior Health Policy Advisor. Provide strategic advice, coordinate relations, and influence national health discussions. Reporting to the Manager of Intergovernmental Relations, this role emphasizes engagement in federal, provincial, and territorial health policies.
You will analyze jurisdictional developments, prepare briefing materials, and support Alberta's policy positions during key health forums. Collaboration with ministries and executive councils will be essential as you navigate the complexities of intergovernmental relations. Key Responsibilities:
- Offer strategic policy advice on health issues
- Coordinate health sector intergovernmental relations activities
- Conduct policy analysis and jurisdictional scans
- Prepare high-quality materials for leadership meetings
- Monitor interprovincial and international policy developments Requirements:
- University degree in related field and 4 years’ experience
- Experience in government policy processes and strategic planning
- Strong understanding of intergovernmental policy dynamics
- Ability to produce analytical written products to executive standards
- Familiarity with FPT health policy issues in Alberta Drive impactful health policy initiatives while shaping Alberta’s communication strategies in intergovernmental realms.
