Hawkeye Line Locators is a Canada-wide utility locating company with a strong and growing client base. Our One Call Division operates out of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, and we are currently seeking full-time, long-term team members to join our office staff.
Position Overview
As a One Call Screener and Office Administrator, you'll play a key role in processing utility locate requests. This role combines communication, mapping, and organizational skills to ensure safe and efficient ground disturbance procedures on behalf of our clients.
Training Provided
- Learn our internal procedures and client-specific requirements
- Hands-on training with our proprietary database system and tools
- Ongoing mentorship and support during the onboarding process
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process One Call tickets received from Utility Safety Partners
- Use online mapping tools to assess workspaces
- Contact contractors to verify job details
- Issue clearances or prepare data packages for field locators
- Manage 40–100 tickets daily, with accuracy and attention to detail
- Communicate via phone and email in a professional and timely manner
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Adobe
- Strong typing and written communication skills
Assets (Preferred but not mandatory)
- Experience with Abadata or Converge mapping systems
- Knowledge of Legal Land Descriptions

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
