We are looking for an Electrical Estimator to join our Sales Support team and help develop accurate budgets, firm quotations, and proposals for ITI’s Field Service and Manufacturing groups.

About the Role

The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing project estimates, proposal documents, material take-offs, labour estimates, and bid support for a wide range of electrical projects. This role works closely with sales, engineering, design, procurement, quality, manufacturing, project management, and leadership teams to develop accurate quotations and support strong project outcomes.

This is a permanent, full-time position based out of ITI’s Calgary, AB office. For the right candidate, remote work or a Victoria, BC location may be considered, with preference given to Calgary-based candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer RFQ packages, including specifications, single-line diagrams, SDRLs, schedules, forms, and supporting project documents
• Prepare proposal documents, estimate sheets, material take-offs, and labour estimates
• Solicit pricing and information from subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Prepare conceptual budgets and firm quotations
• Support bid strategy development in collaboration with the Sales team
• Lead technical estimating review meetings during the pre-sale process
• Lead handoff meetings during the post-sale process
• Identify scope gaps, risk items, and order-of-magnitude impacts during project review
• Support cost analysis, cost reduction initiatives, and estimating process improvements
• Maintain clear project information flow and documentation
• Assist with CRM input and data related to the Sales Support team
• Support the development of proposal standards, formats, win strategies, competitive analysis, and requirement matrices
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal teams
• Support other duties as required to help meet ITI’s goals and objectives

Qualifications and Requirements

• Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent experience
• Experience with electrical estimating, proposals, quotations, or related technical project support
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and project documentation
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, scopes of work, materials, and labour estimating
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organization, facilitation, and presentation skills
• Practical, can-do approach to problem solving
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative team player with a professional and positive attitude
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be willing to travel
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
• Valid passport required

Compensation

Starting pay scale is $30/hour, with higher compensation available for candidates with relevant experience.
