NAIT’s Content Creator Entrepreneurship program is seeking a highly experienced, dynamic, and student‑focused instructor to join this new and innovative program. The Content Creator Entrepreneurship Diploma prepares students to build sustainable careers as professional digital content creators and entrepreneurially minded media professionals.
Delivered primarily in an online, studio‑based format, the program integrates digital content production, platform strategy, branding, community engagement, and entrepreneurship. Students work on authentic, applied projects across multiple terms and culminate their studies in a Creator Launch Lab, where they develop and launch a real creator‑led business.
The successful candidate will play a core role in the program, contributing not only to teaching but also to curriculum development, studio facilitation, and the ongoing evolution of this first‑of‑its‑kind program. This role is well suited to an instructor who is comfortable working in emerging program environments and contributing to the design, refinement, and continuous improvement of new curriculum models.
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be an energetic, empathetic, and student‑focused instructor with a demonstrated commitment to motivating learners and supporting academic achievement. They will bring strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, along with proven experience delivering adult education in a post‑secondary or skills‑based learning environment.
They will possess substantial and relevant industry experience within the digital content, media, or creator economy and will be committed to championing student success through applied learning, mentorship, and academic excellence. This includes demonstrated professional experience operating within the creator economy, such as building, managing, or monetizing a digital content brand, audience, or platform‑based venture.
This role requires an instructor who is comfortable working in an online, studio‑style learning environment, supporting students as they develop, test, iterate, and monetize real creative work. The successful candidate will be comfortable supporting sustained, multi‑term applied projects where student pathways, platforms, and outcomes may vary.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction & Learning Facilitation
- Prepare and present learning outcomes and activities in online classroom and studio settings
- Organize, facilitate, and supervise applied studio projects and creator‑based assignments
- Facilitate the learning process using instructional strategies that support project‑based, experiential, and work‑integrated learning
- Set the tone and climate for a safe, inclusive, and effective online learning environment
- Evaluate student learning and provide timely, meaningful, and constructive feedback including assessment of complex, authentic work where outcomes may differ by student, platform, or creative approach
- Respond to student issues and contribute to student success strategies
- Studio & Work‑Integrated Learning (WIL)
- Support and facilitate the program’s studio model, which mirrors professional creative agencies and creator workflows
- Guide students working on authentic, real‑world projects, including multi‑term creator initiatives
- Mentor students preparing for and participating in the Creator Launch Lab, supporting venture development, reflection, and professional readiness and helping students navigate experimentation, iteration, and public‑facing creative risk
- Curriculum & Program Contributions
- Contribute to curriculum development, course reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with faculty and program leadership to ensure alignment across courses and studios
- Participate in program operational activities, including planning, mapping, and program reviews including contributing to the ongoing design and evolution of this new program’s studio model and learning pathways
- Maintain contact with relevant industries, platforms, and creator communities to ensure curriculum relevance and ongoing alignment with evolving tools, platforms, and creator business models
Skills & Abilities

- Strong commitment to student success, including motivating learners and supporting academic achievement
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills suitable for instructional, advisory, and collaborative contexts
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and decision‑making skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative instructional team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and relevant educational technologies
- Comfort working in online learning environments, including learning management systems and collaborative digital tools
- Strong understanding of digital content creation workflows and creator ecosystems
- Knowledge of platform‑based content strategies, brand building, and audience engagement
- Experience with monetization models such as sponsorships, partnerships, digital products, or memberships
- Awareness of creator business fundamentals, including project planning, revenue generation, and professional practice
- Understanding of ethical, legal, and professional considerations in digital and creator spaces including issues related to content ownership, disclosure, platform policies, and professional conduct
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in a media, business, or creative discipline, plus five (5) years of related industry experience is required. A Master's Degree is preferred
- Previous teaching experience would be an asset
- Experience as an independent content creator or creator‑led entrepreneur, including revenue‑generating activities, is considered an asset
- Equivalencies may be considered
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES).
Remuneration
Will commensurate with education and experience. Refer to salary range noted on this posting, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Note: starting salary for new instructor hires average mid-range based on education and experience.
Classification – Instructor
This position is covered by the NAIT Academic Staff Associate (NASA) Collective Agreement.
The compensation range for this job posting is : $69,189.78 - $120,361.23
