Partnership Account Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Partnership Account Management Specialist to lead and grow relationships with post-secondary institutions across North America, with a strong focus on programs such as bootcamps, micro-credentials, and other workforce-aligned education offerings.
This role is responsible for managing existing institutional accounts, strengthening strategic relationships with colleges, universities, and selected industry partners, and identifying new partnership opportunities that expand the reach and impact of the organization’s post-secondary programs.
This position will report directly to the President / CEO, which is designed to set the individual up for success by giving them direct visibility into leadership vision, strategic priorities, and expectations for the role. It will also help the individual better understand how to operate across key internal functions, including the relationship with the VP for Product, who leads the product and technical direction, and the Programs Operations Manager, who is accountable for operational execution and program delivery.
In addition to regular account and partnership operations, the role is expected to contribute to strategic growth initiatives, and these should be reflected clearly in the individual’s performance management objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Post-Secondary Partnership and Account Management
- Manage a portfolio of post-secondary institution accounts across North America, including colleges, universities, polytechnics, and other education partners.
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned industrial partners, ensuring strong communication, trust, responsiveness, and long-term account health.
- Support the growth and success of bootcamps, micro-credentials, and related education programs delivered through institutional partnerships.
- Lead regular account reviews with partners to monitor performance, identify opportunities, address issues, and strengthen collaboration.
- Build account plans that support renewals, program expansion, student recruitment alignment, and overall partner success.
Program and Partnership Growth
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand existing partnerships through new program offerings, departments, campuses, regions, or delivery models.
- Add new institutional and strategic partners across North America that align with the company’s growth priorities in post-secondary education.
- Support partnership development efforts, including outreach, presentations, proposals, negotiations, and onboarding of new accounts.
- Help position the organization as a trusted partner for career-oriented programs such as bootcamps and micro-credentials.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the President / CEO to ensure partnership efforts are aligned with company vision, market priorities, and executive expectations.
- Collaborate with the VP for Product to ensure partner requirements and market needs are aligned with product direction, program innovation, and technical capabilities.
- Coordinate with the Programs Operations Manager to ensure program execution, learner experience, timelines, and institutional commitments are delivered effectively.
- Act as a bridge between external partners and internal teams to ensure smooth communication, issue resolution, and successful implementation.
Strategic Initiatives and Performance Delivery
- Contribute to strategic initiatives related to post-secondary growth, institutional expansion, and the scaling of bootcamps and micro-credentials in North America.
- Ensure these strategic initiatives are embedded in quarterly and annual performance expectations, not treated as secondary responsibilities.
- Track account performance, renewal status, expansion opportunities, and partnership outcomes using clear metrics and reporting.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on partnership progress, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Marketing, Communications, Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in partnership management, account management, post-secondary relations, education program development, or business development.
- Proven experience working with post-secondary institutions, particularly in North America.
- Strong understanding of various educational delivery formats such as bootcamps, micro-credentials, continuing education, workforce development, or alternative credential models.
- Demonstrated success in managing strategic client accounts, manage multiple partnerships, priorities, and building new institutional partnerships.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a portfolio of educational portfolios with external partners while balancing internal coordination requirements with internal stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a high-visibility role with direct exposure to executive leadership and governmental organizations heads
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Account Management, Partnership Development particularly in the public sector and broader education industry
- Experience in edtech, higher education partnerships, continuing education, or workforce training.
- Experience supporting education programs tied to employability, digital skills, technical education, workforce development, corporate training or career pathways.
- Familiarity with partnership agreements, institutional account planning, enrollment-focused initiatives, and cross-functional program delivery.
