This position reports to the Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Planning (VP, CS&P) and is responsible for the day‑to‑day management, coordination, implementation and adherence of the Alberta iGaming Corporation’s social responsibility and responsible gaming mandate.

You will be based in Edmonton and work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to support AIGC’s operations.

Who You Are The Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC) is looking for an experienced

Manager, Social Responsibility & Responsible Gaming

to work closely with the VP CP&S to translate approved policy direction and strategic priorities into effective programs, operational requirements, and oversight activities. The position coordinates work across internal divisions and external partners to advance responsible gaming and social responsibility initiatives, including funding oversight, operator requirements, inter‑agency coordination, and issue management. The role exercises judgment and initiative to identify risks, resolve operational issues, and develop options and recommendations, escalating matters with significant strategic, reputational, or policy implications to the VP CP&S.

About the Role In this role, you will own

Leadership of Social Responsibility & Responsibility Gaming

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of AiGC’s social responsibility and responsible gaming activities within the strategic direction set by the VP CP&S.
  • Work with the VP CP&S to develop annual work priorities, deliverables, and performance expectations for the portfolio.
  • Proactively identify operational issues, risks, and emerging trends related to player protection, responsible gaming, and social responsibility, and develop mitigation strategies or policy options for consideration.
  • Lead and maintain effective working relationships with external stakeholders, including the Government of Alberta, public agencies, operators, service providers, and other partners, to support the advancement of AiGC’s social responsibility and responsible gaming mandate.
  • Coordinate input, issues management, and follow‑up actions to support alignment, informed decision‑making, and effective implementation of responsible gaming matters with external partners.

Social Responsibility Funding & Contract Management

  • Manage the administration and oversight of contracts and funding agreements with social responsibility funding recipients (e.g., Alberta Gambling and Research Institute), including:

Monitoring performance, outcomes, and compliance with contractual expectations.

Managing ongoing relationships and addressing performance or delivery issues.

Preparing analysis, recommendations, and escalation advice where required.

  • Lead the implementation process to administer AiGC’s annual social responsibility funding allocation, including:

Developing proposal intake, evaluation, and review processes.

Coordinating cross‑ministry and partner engagement in support of funding decisions.

Preparing briefing materials and recommendations for senior leadership approval.

Responsible Gaming Policy & Operator Requirements

  • Implement and manage AiGC’s Responsible Gaming policies and standards as approved by executive leadership and the Board.
  • In collaboration with the Operations Division:
  • Support the translation of policy direction into clear, operational requirements for inclusion in operator contracts and related instruments.
  • Support the monitoring adherence to responsible gaming contractual expectations and work with internal partners to address gaps, issues, or non‑compliance.
  • Provide advice to the VP CS&P on operational impacts, emerging risks, and potential enhancements to RG requirements.

Inter-Agency & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as the primary operational lead for coordination with AGLC on centralized self‑exclusion and related responsible gaming initiatives.
