Adult Mental Health Therapist – Independent Contractor

Compensation: $90–$141 per completed clinical session

Go Wellness Counselling & Psychological Services Inc. is expanding our clinical team. We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and culturally responsive Adult Mental Health Therapist to join our growing practice as an independent contractor.

Eligible Professional Designations

We welcome applications from

• Registered Provisional Psychologists in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists
• Registered Social Workers with an MSW who have demonstrated graduate-level education, clinical training, supervised experience, and competence in counselling/psychotherapy
• Canadian Certified Counsellors (CCC) in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association who have appropriate education, training, and demonstrated competence for the services they provide

Professional designation alone does not establish competence to provide every service offered by the practice. Clinicians will provide services only within the boundaries of their education, training, supervised experience, professional authorization, and demonstrated competence.

Clinical Focus

The ideal clinician is a versatile adult generalist with demonstrated competence supporting clients experiencing concerns such as:

• Anxiety and stress
• Depression and mood-related concerns
• Trauma and adjustment difficulties
• Grief and loss
• Life transitions
• Emotional regulation difficulties
• Relationship and interpersonal concerns
• Self-esteem and personal growth

Training and demonstrated competence in evidence-informed approaches such as CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed approaches, mindfulness-based interventions, EMDR, or other appropriate modalities are assets.

Applicants should only identify specialized modalities as areas of practice where they have obtained the education, training, supervision, and experience necessary to practise competently.

Competitive Contractor Compensation

$90–$141 per completed clinical session

Compensation is based on professional designation, experience, demonstrated competencies, service type, and the applicable compensation arrangement.

Compensation for late cancellations/no-shows, reports, assessments, groups, workshops, and other professional services may be addressed separately under the clinician's service agreement.

In addition to competitive compensation, Go Wellness provides practice infrastructure that may include client referrals, marketing, administrative and scheduling support, billing and payment processing, secure electronic clinical records, virtual-care infrastructure, and professional office space for approved in-person services.

Compensation is not a guarantee of minimum caseload, referrals, hours, or income. Final compensation and service arrangements are established in the clinician's written agreement.

Applicants must

• Hold and maintain the appropriate professional registration or certification for their role
• Be legally and professionally authorized to provide the services offered
• Maintain appropriate professional liability insurance
• Practise within their demonstrated areas of competence
• Maintain appropriate continuing professional development
• Comply with applicable ethical and professional standards
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
• Meet applicable privacy and confidentiality requirements
• Obtain and document appropriate informed consent
• Maintain competence in risk assessment and management relevant to their clinical population
